Tajnik Stupar was born in 1974 in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. In 1999 she graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she also pursued a post-graduate studies (MA) in Painting at the same Academy. She lives and works in Velenje, Slovenia, active as a painter and printmaker.
